The only real problem I had were the controls. I was able to beat both campaigns without much trouble, but Platinuming just isn't gonna happen. Challenging, but not overly impossible with some practice. The graphics are so pretty even at such fast speed. When I bought a PS3 last year, Wipeout HD/Fury was the first thing I downloaded. That said, Wipeout was always a series I wanted to get into but never had the right console. F-Zero GX on the Gamecube is still one of my favorite games ever.
